OctopusHas3Hearts is a science education website dedicated to exploring the extraordinary biology of octopuses and other cephalopods. We believe that real science — presented clearly, accurately, and engagingly — is more fascinating than any fiction.
Our Mission
We exist to answer the questions that people actually search for: Does an octopus really have three hearts? Why is octopus blood blue? How can a creature be colorblind and still perfectly camouflage itself? We take these questions seriously and answer them with depth, accuracy, and genuine enthusiasm.
Our Content Standards
All articles on OctopusHas3Hearts are based on peer-reviewed marine biology research. We cite scientific findings accurately and update content when new research changes our understanding. We do not publish unsupported claims or sensationalized facts — if we say something is true, it's because the science says so.
